2019 Grenache Blanc

The grapes for this wine were picked last year on September 13th and the vineyard has subsequently been lost to fires since then. It holds a special place in Jonathan Walton's heart as it was the first white grapes he had picked for his lineup. 

The grapes ferment with four days of skin contact before being aged on the fruit lees for another five days before being moved to neutral barrels for another six weeks before bottling. 

Dominant stone fruits, green almonds, pumpkin rind,  some mild tannins, and not to mention the stunning colour! Perhaps Jonathan will never make this wine again due to fires in California.
