It is no secret that Chenin Blanc is one of my favourite grapes, & for a good reason. The grape has laser acidity, a full body, & can be adapted to suit almost any occasion. This wine, in particular, is especially loaded with candied lemon, lime blossom, roasted white fruits, & an itsy-bitsy hint of honey. Plus, it rewards you with an epic, long finish. I could easily drink this white wine for the rest of my life; I'm not kidding.
The vines are undergoing organic conversion, planted in the communes of Dampierre-sur-Loire and Le Puy Notre Dame on clay-limestone soils with flint veins. Manual harvesting and natural vinification. Indigenous yeasts, direct pressing, slow fermentation, six months aging on the lees. The wine was bottled at the Domaine in March 2022, on fine lees, without fining, filtration or addition of sulphites.
