2009 Two Rock Block

An old-school Cabernet Sauvignon made in California that is made from one of the state's best-kept secrets. Darek Trowbridge grows the grapes on a low-vigour site, producing tiny berries packed with intense flavours of blackberry, cherry, plums, and tickling of black pepper spice. When you let this wine breathe, it welcomes you with a rich aroma of forest that swallows you like a brambled trail. Its bold tannins and bright acidity lift it to another dimension. It is hard to find a more complex wine with this age and pedigree at this price.
