With vineyards so lush, you can actually see where they end, and the Black Forest begins. The tiny 2.1 hectares of vines produce some fascinating wines for Enderle & Moll.
At first glance, this pinot gris looks like it could be a rose due to its intense colour, which stems from numerous days of skin contact. The wine is slightly smoky with overripe pears & passionfruit that is complex and profound. It has a crisp minerality hiding behind flinty flavours that lift subtle pineapple & nuts. In the glass, I am stunned at how dense, and balanced everything is. Delicious.
