"Vairon" is Dirler-Cadé's first orange wine, of which a few thousand bottles have been produced. Vairon means a two-coloured eye – the label symbolizes how the green grapes give the orange colour to the wine – with a twinkle in the eye from the producer.
Spices and tannins. Vairon is aromatic with a very fresh nose. Muscat characterizes the nose, while Gewurztraminer is the backbone of the taste. The wine has no added sulphur—6-day maceration with Muscat and 15-day maceration with Gewurztraminer in steel tanks.
Vairon is ideal as an apéritif and for grilling.
