2021 Gamay Sans Toi

The wine tastes of potential as this new winemaker, Barbara Lebled, navigates this grapey expression of Gamay. The flavour of this wine is the equivalent of standing in a vineyard after picking ripe grapes in the basking sunshine. The slightly grippy wine cascades with a tarry, sticky grapyness draped in sweet herbs, basil included. I had to remind myself I was drinking a Gamay & not a Syrah. Beautiful wine, a pleasure to drink.
